Gideon's Temple Trip

Thursday, April 30, 2009 was a very special day for us! John and I were able to take Gideon to the Orlando Temple in order for him to take out his endowments in preparation for his mission to Pocatello, Idaho. Doug and Debbie Carter, Matt and Natalie Steinhour and our future son-in-law Aaron Attig attended with us as well. It was such a wonderful spiritual event and it was so special to see Gideon and his father share this special event. Afterward Mercedes joined the group and we had an amazing dinner at Cristini's Italian Restuarant. Vinnie our waiter did a great job recommending dishes for us to enjoy and our accordian player was very fun as well.

What a great night for all of us and one step closer for Gideon to start his new missionary chapter!

Joy Starts the Chytraus Chapters

 

Well after spending the night at my wonderful sister-in-law, Debbie’s house she educated me on how to set up a blog.  I have always been intimidated by doing something like this as I am not the most computer savvy person in our family.  John has asked me to do this several times as I am the one with the time available.  So here I am embarking on what I hope is a surprisingly fun and easy endeavor. 

There are many important events in the near future for our family and I would like to be able to record them for others to share with us.

I hope I make my family proud and laugh a bit at the same time!

Ping Pong Takes Over

We turned our pool table into a ping pong table and have increased the family unity! A night doesn't go by that someone is not defending "King of the Table". John, Gideon and Maverick seem to be the top three players but the rest of us are trying.

John and Joy get Sealed in the Temple!

On June 28, 2008 we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Newport Beach Temple! We had tons of friends and family members there to help us celebrate. Included in this candid photo is Mert and Kate Mitchell, John and Carolyn Neal, Rachel and Craig Workinger, Tyler Workinger, Doug and Debbie Carter, Tricia Seguine, Cherlyn Nielson, Barbara Chytraus, and of course the 7 of us!

This day was so incredibly special for us - to share it with so many people who have been there to supports us made it even better. Also that day Zachary was sealed to John and I. I wanted this day for so long and the spirit that was there in the temple that day testified even stronger to me that Families are Forever!

Maui April 2008

Maui, Hawaii is our family favorite vacation place! John and I try to make it there once a year but hadn't been there for 2 years due to our relocation to Florida! We joined our dear friends Aimee and Abizar Vakharia at our time share for a week of rest, relaxation and golf! John and I had an extra getaway weekend to Lanai as well where we love the Manele Bay Resort...

Maui will always be a special place for us since this is where we got married. I love spending time here with John and such great friends - it is always special and renewing for all of us!
